Thou art a fool if you pass this up

Dragon Quest (or Dragon Warrior) on the original NES was my intro to the world of turn-based RPGs on home consoles, so it holds a special place in my heart. I was eager to try this game out. This is an amazing conversion of the NES port to the good ol' Intellivision console. It is as perfect a conversion you can get going from the NES to the INTV. It is all there-- the music, the "thees" and "thous", every item in the proper place, the monsters complete with the recolored stronger versions in the proper places in the world, and so on. It even retains the level progression and exp/gold earned from the NES days, so expect a bit more level frinding if you've only played DQ1 through modern ports. If you're a fan of the original Dragon Quest/Warrior, and you're a fan of the INTV, you won't be disappointed. Derek L. (24 Jun 2025, 20:41)

Must Buy for RPG Fans

If you're even a passing fan of old school JRPGs, you already know that Dragon Quest is an absolute classic. This port of the original NES game is as pixel perfect as one could hope for on the Intellivision. It looks, sounds, and plays like the original. It even has the added bonus of being able to use the keypad for different actions instead of navigating through menus. If you have even a passing interest in RPG games, this one is a must buy.Mike's Gaming Gala (6 Jun 2024, 10:58)

Wow! What a fantastic RPG for the Intellivision

I used to play a very (nearly identical) similar game on my NES back in the day. It’s crazy addictive and fun. The physical copy also comes with a fantastic physical map which is very helpful for game play. As far as I am concerned, this is a must buy.Anthony (20 Feb 2024, 12:42)
